Frank Rae Artmire was born to Raymond and Ethel (Rae) Artmire. Frank attended Prospect schools where he graduated in 1955. Frank enjoyed hunting and fishing. He obtained his degree in diesel mechanics from Oregon Technology Institute.
In 1959, Frank married his lovely wife Carol Ferko they were married for 58 years. This was a wonderful example of love. Together they had 2 daughters Brenda and Joy.
He worked for numerous logging companies, Prospect schools as custodian and athletic bus driver. Frank also served as rural fire chief for Prospect fire department for 17 years. He and his dad Raymond ran the Prospect Chevron Service station for over 25 years. Frank also worked 17 years for ODOT.
Frank was a supporter of Prospect Assembly of God church, all of his adult life. Prospect was his home and was very proud of the fact that he lived all his 82 years there. He was known for his joking around and didn’t know a stranger.
He went to heaven at home, quiet in his sleep, to be with Jesus and his bride on November 20, 2019.
In lieu of flowers an account will be set up at Rogue Credit Union or donations accepted for a memorial fund in recognition for what he has done for Prospect schools and community.
The Celebration of Life will be at Conger-Morris on November 30, 2019 at 1:00 and to follow at Prospect at 4:00 pm same day.
