Catherine "Cathy" M. Lee
December 24, 1918 - May 8, 2019

Catherine Marie Lee age 100, passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at Providence Medford Medical Center in Medford, Oregon. Cathy was born December 24, 1918 in Yellow Medicine County, Canby, Minnesota to the late John and Madrena (Siebens) Eilers. She was the youngest of 12 children. All siblings preceded her in death. Cathy married Robert Harold Lee on August 20th 1938 in Clear Lake, South Dakota, and moved to Oregon in 1939.
Cathy’s untiring work ethic kept her employed until the age of 85. Some of her many jobs include Witham’s Restaurant, Bambi’s Diner, Jack’s Hideaway, and owner-operator of Cathy’s Dinette.
In life, Cathy was always smiling. She enjoyed the sunshine, fancy cars, country music, and her family. She was a 45 year member of The Fraternal Order of Eagles. Cathy delighted in traveling, and saw many places in her lifetime. She will be remembered fondly for her playful rhymes, and the often used phrase, “Whatever!”
Cathy is survived by her children, Lillian (Earl) Burns, Robert (Eunice) Lee, Sandra Anderson, Keith (Mike) Lee, Kevin Lee, Linda (John) Militello; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee; her son, Jerry Lee; her son-in-law, Denny Anderson; and two daughters-in-law, Noriko Lee and Stormy Lee.
Cathy’s friends and family are sad to say “Goodbye.” She will be deeply missed leaving behind the words, “I love you more” in the hearts of many.
~Cathy drove a car until the age of 95.
~She traded her vehicle in every 2 years for a fancier one.
~She continued working at McDonalds in Las Vegas until she was 85 years old.
~Chuckled that she received a letter from the president having never voted a day in her life.
~Lost her mom when she was just 3 weeks old.
~ Shared her time between Las Vegas and Central Point, Oregon.
~She was the mother of 7 children.
~Her son Jerry Martin passed in 1950 at just 15 months of age.
~Her husband died in 1959 at 43 years old.
~She loved POTATOES!
~She also worked at Dairy Queen and The Pioneer.
~Passed her strong work values on to her kids and grandkids.
~She loved bright colors, and wore them well.
~She enjoyed writing and receiving letters.
