Obituary for Harold H. Moser

Harold H. Moser, 95, of Medford, Ore. passed away May 27, 2018. He was born March 19, 1923 in Johnstown, Colo. To John and Magdelina (Klein) Moser.
Harold served in the U.S. Navy during World War II from 1943-1946, as a Machinist’s Mate 1st Class aboard the USS Cowell. After leaving the service, he met and married Betty J. Francone on December 14, 1947 in Fort Morgan, Colo. The couple enjoyed nearly 69 years of marriage until Betty’s passing in 2016. Together, they raised their four children on farms and ranches in Weldona, Colo. And Days Creek, Ore.
As a result of his training in the service, Harold held refrigeration and electrical jobs prior to purchasing the family’s first farm. He was a rancher who raised Black Angus cattle. He was also a member of the VFW.
He is survived by his children, Diane L. Scheu (Gordon) of Central Point, Ore., Harold H. Moser Jr. (Kristin) of Myrtle Creek, Ore., Wendy S. Lee (Dick) of Ashland, Ore., and Gary W. Moser (Ruthanne) of Salem, Ore.; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 68 years, Betty; four brothers; and four sisters.
A service with military honors will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 7, 2018 at Eagle Point National Cemetery. Pastor William Lehmann of St. Peter Lutheran Church will officiate. Arrangements are in care of Conger-Morris Funeral Directors, Medford.
