Obituary for Judith P. Daves

Judy P. Daves passed away May 21, 2018 at her home.
Judy was born May 26, 1946 in Medford to Loyal and Esther Abbott. She had two brothers and four sisters. Judy spent her childhood living and working with her family at the Klamath Orchard in Phoenix, Oregon.
Judy married the love of her life, Bill Daves, January 18, 1964 in Medford. “BD” and Miss Jude recently celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary at the Oregon coast, one of Judy’s favorite spots in the world.
Judy and Bill enjoyed their retirement years together. Judy loved her flowers, she found joy in baking cookies for her family, she was an avid reader, a loyal Oregon Ducks fan, and she cherished her time with family and friends.
Judy is survived by her dear husband, Bill; her beloved son, George and his wife, Kelli of Eagle Point; her adored granddaughters, Hillary Daves of Gold Hill and Hayley Daves of Eagle Point; her sister and lifelong best friend, Jane McTevia, Mona DeArmond, and Judy Bates of Seattle; her loved mother-in-law, Virginia McManamon; and many nephews and nieces.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Carol Hayner and Alice Schick; and brothers, Jerry Abbott and Ben Abbott.
A celebration of life will take place at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 3, 2018 at the Rogue Valley Country Club, 2660 Hillcrest Rd., Medford.
