Obituary for Gary F. Gronemeyer

Gary F. Gronemeyer passed away peacefully at Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center on November 27, 2018. He was born October 29, 1940 in St. Louis, MO to Oliver and Elsie Gronemeyer. Gary stayed in St, Louis where he met and married his wife, Judy E. Sieferd of 55 years. Gary joined the U.S. Army in 1963 and immediately went to Germany where he and Judy had three children: Jim Gronemeyer, Sharon Smith (Clyde) and Jeff Gronemeyer, who preceded him in death. Gary was Captain in the Army during Vietnam. After the Army he returned to college and got his Masters in Civil Engineering. He was employed by the US Army Corps of Engineers where he and his family moved extensively to places like Savannah, GA, Saudi Arabia and everywhere in between. He retired in Sacramento, CA and moved to Eagle Point, OR to be near his family. Gary loved the great outdoors that Oregon could provide.
Funeral Mass will be held at Shepherd of the Valley Catholic Church at 11:00 on Tuesday December 4, 2018. Following Mass there will be an Honor Ceremony held at 1:00 at Eagle Point National Cemetery.
