Obituary for Ernest Louis Gallo

Ernest Louis Gallo, 97, of Medford Oregon, a first generation American from a good Italian family passed away on Feb. 1, 2019. He was born Aug. 1, 1921 in Newton, New Jersey to parents, James and Vincincina Gallo.
Ernie served in WWII aboard the USS Monterey. He worked as a meat cutter for many years prior to s second successful career in sales. He was active in the VFW and various veterans’ organizations and was always serving others at Senior Center etc.
Survivors include his wife, Muriel; sons, James of Florida and Ron and wife, Laurie of Medford; daughter, Barbara of Florida; brother, Albert and sister, Virginia of New Jersey; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by both parents; son, Michael; brothers, Anthony, Nick, Raymond Rosano; and sisters, Mary, Rose, Midge, Irene, Anna, and Jeanne Rosano.
A mass will be held on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at 12 noon at the White City VA Rehabilitation Center & Clinics Chapel followed at 2:00 pm by a ceremony at Eagle Point National Cemetery.
