Obituary for Katheryn (Kaytie) Louise Jones

Katheryn (Kaytie) Louise Jones passed away the morning of October 6, 2017 in her home surrounded by her loving children and husband of 65 years, Efton Gene Jones. Kaytie was born May 4, 1932 to the pioneer Allen family at the family home in Phoenix, Oregon.
Kaytie was raised in the Rogue Valley and married her childhood sweetheart, Efton Gene Jones August 16, 1952 in Medford, Ore. They had just celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary this last August. She was a lifetime member of the Apostolic Faith Church. She loved cooking for her family and always had room for one more visitor. She also loved decorating, puzzling, was an avid reader, and loved reading cookbooks from cover to cover. She was an exceptional wife, mother, and friend to all.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Lois Allen; her brothers, Jim, B.J., and Dean Allen; and her sister, Virginia Allen. She is survived by her husband, Efton Gene Jones; her four children, Curt Jones, Jeff Jones, Janel (David) Trotter, and Tami (Cesar) Partida; two brothers, Don and Jack (Shara) Allen. She had nine grandchildren, Chelsea (John) Mayer, Ashley Trotter, Kaitlyn Trotter, Brittany (Derrick) Nassar, Nick Jones, Allison Jones, Angelina (Kirk) Friesen, Alicia (Jesse) Lewis, and Brandon Partida; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
The memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at the Apostolic Faith Church at 285 Sunrise Ave, Medford, OR. Anyone wishing to make a monetary donation, please make them in Kaytie's name to Signature Hospice, 834 Front St., Central Point, OR 97502.
